Taylor Yocom (BFA Photography, University of Iowa 2015) uses mixed media, installation, video, and photography to speak to how women are perceived when they "take up space" physically or emotionally, using personal and collective memory as a vehicle for this exploration.  Her work has been exhibited regionally and nationally and she is a Bustle Upstarts award recipient. Her striking photo series, Guarded, has appeared internationally in renowned publications such as Buzzfeed, USA Today, and the US and UK versions of the Huffington Post.  She is currently working towards her MFA in Visual Art in Washington University in St. Louis's Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts.
