Taylor Yocom (BFA Photography, University of Iowa 2015) is an intermedia artist who explores the pressures and effects driving the gender performativity of ''female niceness.''.  Her work has been exhibited regionally and nationally and she is a Bustle Upstarts award recipient. Her striking photo series, Guarded, has appeared internationally in renowned publications such as Buzzfeed, USA Today, and the Huffington Post.  She is currently working towards her MFA in Visual Art in Washington University in St. Louis's Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts.
